Assessments

Each module is allocated with a number of formative assessments, and one summative assessment (final examination/POE). Assessments are assigned a specific weighting percentage, which will indicate the contribution to the overall final mark (100%).

Tests and Final Examinations

  • The five working day period for marking also applies to assessments.

  • Results are to be submitted on an official marking sheet to the AOA.

  • Test scripts are to be returned to students, with constructive comments, accompanied by a class discussion.

  • Any student who is unable to write a test (for reasons outlined in the Assessment Policy Document) will have the opportunity to write an aegrotat test or apply for reweighting. Please direct students to their AOC to attend to these queries.

  • Lecturers are to mark the entire aegrotat test script.
